Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cost Manager with strong expertise in Civil Interior Works for corporate workplace projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, quantity surveying, vendor coordination, commercial management, and client interaction throughout the project lifecycle.
This role requires strong commercial acumen, technical understanding of interior fit-out works, and the ability to manage project costs while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. BOQ & Cost Estimation
- Prepare detailed BOQs for civil and interior fit-out works based on GFC drawings, concept designs, and site requirements.
- Develop accurate project cost estimates, budgeting, and cost benchmarks.
- Provide value engineering solutions to optimize project costs without compromising quality or design intent.
- Maintain updated market rates for materials, labour, finishes, and vendor pricing.
2. Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management
- Perform quantity take-offs for civil and interior works including flooring, ceilings, partitions, finishes, joinery, and related packages.
- Monitor project costs from design development through execution and closure.
- Manage variations, billing certifications, subcontractor evaluations, and final account settlements.
- Ensure commercial compliance and budget control across projects.
3. Tendering & Vendor Coordination
- Float RFQs, analyse quotations, and prepare comparative statements.
- Coordinate and negotiate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors for civil interior packages.
- Validate vendor bills against BOQs, approved rates, and site progress.
- Support procurement and commercial finalisation activities.
4. Client Coordination & Pre-Sales Support
- Participate in client discussions for cost presentations, budgeting, and BOQ clarifications.
- Collaborate with design and business development teams during proposal and tender stages.
- Assist in preparing commercial proposals and project cost plans.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain commercial documentation, approvals, contracts, and project trackers.
- Prepare MIS reports, cost reports, and cash flow projections for management review.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, quality standards, and project timelines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying.
- 5–6 years of experience in costing, quantity surveying, and commercial management for workplace interiors or corporate fit-out projects.
- Strong understanding of interior fit-out materials, execution methodologies, and commercial processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation tools.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Design & Build environment.
Preferred
- Experience in corporate workplace interiors and turnkey fit-out projects.
- Exposure to vendor management, billing, and project commercial closures.
- MBA RICS is an added advantage.

Requirements

- Relevant experience in backend operations, customer support, telecalling, or voice processes preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and customer-handling skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer applications.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Inbound Calling, Outbound Calling, Chat Process, or Voice Process.
- Strong follow-up and customer relationship management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and track project budgets and actual costs across HVAC scopes
• Review and control costs for non-fixed PO items to ensure alignment with project budgets
• Analyze cost variances and identify risks, trends, and potential overruns

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong background in HVAC systems and construction projects
• Proven experience in budget tracking, cost analysis, and reporting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost reporting tools
• Ability to interpret project drawings, BOQs, and specifications
• Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills
