ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES :-

*Key Responsibilities:*
Configure, Design and develop electrical systems low voltage switchboards, control
panels, and distribution systems in accordance with project requirements, electrical
codes, and standards (e.g., BIS, IEC, EIL, NPC etc).
Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, general arrangement
layouts (GA), bill of materials (BOM), terminal diagrams etc, using CAD tools
(AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent).
Perform load calculations, temperature rise calculations, short circuit calculations.
Configure panel mechanical design in line with specifications
Do component sizing with due consideration to optimisation.
Selection of switchgear components such as circuit breakers, relays, contactors,
PLCs, and other control equipment.
In depth knowledge of electrical switchgear components of all reputed brands (e.g.
Schneider, Siemens, ABB, L&T, LS Electric etc) including selection of equivalent type
and as per Type-II coordination.
Work closely with project managers, manufacturing teams, quality department and
customers / consultants to ensure delivery of panels to customer’s expectations and
timely delivery.
Make and submit drawings / documents required to be approved by consultants and
customers, in time. Give all the necessary information.
Proficiency in verbal and written technical communication
Understanding of approval processes of various entities and authorities.
Provide technical support during approval of submission documents
Provide technical support to internal departments during planning, fabrication,
testing, customer-inspection and commissioning phases.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
Participate in design reviews, contract reviews
Participate and initiate continuous improvement process of the organisation.
Knowledge and experience of tendering process.
*Qualifications:*
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
In exceptional cases, Diploma Engineers may be considered.
3+ years of experience in low voltage electrical design.
Experience in testing, commissioning, operation, maintenance may get added
weightage in selection process.
Exposure to type testing of panels will also add to the weightage
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar design software tools.
In depth understanding of electrical standards
Familiarity with panel manufacturing, testing and customer inspection process.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Experience and understanding of systematics of documentation process including
records, amendment and storage / retrieval processes.
Experience in implementation of ISO9000 certification processes.
*Preferred Skills:*
Knowledge of standards of countries and regions like America, Europe, gulf
countries.
Familiarity with automation systems.
Familiarity with industrial control systems, VFDs, and Intelligent Motor Control
Systems.
