Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Business Development Manager to drive business growth in the automotive and non-automotive spring manufacturing segments. The role involves customer acquisition, business expansion, quotation management, coordination with engineering teams, and handling key domestic and international accounts.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
* Identify, develop, and acquire new customers across automotive and non-automotive industries.
* Maintain and expand a strong existing customer base.
* Drive target-based sales growth aligned with company objectives.
* Develop and execute strategic plans for Pan India and international markets.
* Participate in client meetings, negotiations, exhibitions, and business forums.
Customer Management
* Act as the primary point of contact for key domestic and international customers.
* Understand customer requirements and provide technical-commercial solutions.
* Build long-term relationships to ensure repeat business and customer retention.
Quotations & Commercials
* Prepare and review techno-commercial quotations , costing, and pricing strategies.
* Coordinate with internal teams for feasibility, lead time, and cost estimation.
* Ensure timely submission and follow-up of quotations.
New Product Development (NPD)
* Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams for new product development.
* Oversee feasibility studies, prototypes, sampling, and customer approvals.
* Support customers during development and validation stages.
Engineering & Cross-Functional Coordination
* Oversee and guide engineering activities related to customer requirements.
* Ensure alignment between sales commitments and manufacturing capabilities.
* Work closely with sourcing, production, quality, and logistics teams.
Market & Strategy
* Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer expectations.
* Identify new applications and industries for spring products.
* Contribute to long-term business and capacity planning.
Key Skills & Competencies:
* Strong knowledge of spring manufacturing processes and applications.
* Proven experience in automotive OEMs, Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliers and non-automotive sectors.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Ability to manage complex accounts and large-volume customers.
* Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
* Willingness to travel extensively (India & overseas).

v Managed the workmen for achieving the periodic NPD targets.
v Train to sub-ordinates & responsible for their skill up gradation.
v Kaizen activation & Poke yoke.
v Identification and traceability of material (Using work in progress tag, holds tag, yellow bin red bin etc.)
v Performing root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence and defective issues.
v Development of new components, part inspection. Raising enquiries calling/ Meeting vendors for technical discussion.
v Process planning of tools required for manufacturing of components.
v Preparation of CP, FMEA, PPAP documents.
v Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action.
v Responsible for NPD (New parts development) till mass production (including material Procurement & selection & purchasing of tooling etc.).
v Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities.
v Also responsible for Process capabilities of all the machines.
v Responsible for checking manufacturing feasibility of new parts.
v Maintain/control of Engineering Change Notes with new Revision Drawings/control charts & other relative documents.
v Maintain all I.S.O. / TS documentations And Internal Process Doc.Audits.
v To solve/involve Quality issues in Product parameters with help of process / tooling improvements.
v To upgrade knowledge of all manufacturing/special processes.
v Conducting part manufacturing trials on various machines with different tooling for saving the cost & cycle time of the component along with related departments such as quality control & production.
