Required Skills:
· Master’s and/or bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
· Minimum of 7 years experience developing PHP applications through all phases of software
engineering.
· Expert on modern PHP design patterns, OOPS design and Data Structures.
· Review code written by peers and supervisors, focusing on readability and efficiency
· Overseeing and conducting code reviews on software releases in accordance with code review
process
· Identifying security vulnerabilities and areas of non-compliance
· Providing substantive review of, and data for, code review reports as requested and required by
the company
· Reviewing and submit all code review reports and status reports to the company as well as
monitoring and managing security review projects as assigned by the company
· Providing guidance and mentor-ship to the Jr. Software Assurance Analysts and Code Reviewers
on the team
· Providing security engineering support to the team as well as the Government customer as
requested Qualifications
· Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks
· Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
· Understanding of MVC/HMVC design patterns
· Understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
· Understanding accessibility and security compliance
· Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
· Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
· User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
· Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
· Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
· Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
· Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Ø Desired Skills:
· Excellent oral and written English skills.
· Experience developing in an agile environment.
· Experience with basic security issues within code.
· Experience with MySQL, Apache2 is required. MongoDb, Postgre & SparkDb is a big plus.
