Experience Requirements:
The candidate is expected to have the following technical experience:
 Developing an application from conceptualisation through delivery.
 Designing databases to fulfil the application requirements.
 Developing applications on local servers and then deploying them on
remote/production servers
 Experience in setting up servers from third party providers like AWS, Azure and
Digital Ocean with server load balancing, database mirroring etc.
 Being part of a team of multiple developers working on different aspects and
technologies of a complex system, and understanding how all parts interact
with each other as a system
 Guiding junior engineers or developers as a part of the project
We are interested in the software lifecycle experience, server implementations,
problem solving capabilities and ability to work with a diverse team as demonstrated
throughout the career of the candidate. Specific technologies used to fulfil those
requirements or titular roles in past employment are secondary.
Technical Requirements:
Mandatory Technical skills/must haves
(without which resume will not be considered):
 Proficiency in java OR JavaScript and Node.js
 Proficiency in relational databases (e.g. MySQL)
 Proficiency in working with Linux Server environment using command line
 Understanding of database and server security, encryptions, firewalls etc.
 Understanding of server load balancing, database mirroring etc.
 Experience of internet communication protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, MQTT etc.

Good to haves:
These are not mandatory requirements, but will give additional weight to the
resume
 Some hands-on experience with other technologies and frameworks like python,
.NET/C#.
 Some hands-on experience in using APIs from third party systems like Google Maps,
Microsoft Power BI or SAP etc.
 Some hands-on experience with Cassandra or MongoDB
 Some hands-on experience with Windows servers
 Understanding of code efficiency, processor performance, memory requirements and
effects of system architecture on the final user experience
 Some hands-on experience in developing applications for Windows, Linux and
MacOS
Key Job responsibilities:
 Proactively communicate with management through formal and informal
meetings
 Lead a team of other engineers to develop end-to-end applications which
include server databases, back-end processes, front-end UI/UX designing etc.
 Guide junior engineers, assess their progress and resolve their difficulties in
the implementation
 Research on how to implement various requirements and making informed
decisions in a timely manner
 Maintain proper documentation and version control of the applications.
 Take active part in weekly review meetings and put forth various ideas or
solutions to problems.
Work Location and Hours
 Normally the employees are expected to be present in Pune office during core
business hours (10 am to 4 pm) and maintain an average of 9 working hours
per day in the normal run.
 During Covid-19 pandemic situation, the candidate can expect to work from
home on most days and report to office only when necessary.
 All Sundays will be off. First and Third Saturday of each month is also off,
however Candidate must be willing to work on off days to meet any deadlines
or make up the shortfall of working hours.
 The position is in our Pune office and requires minimal outstation travel.
