Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Estimation Engineer to join our technical team in Bangalore. The
successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and
technical proposals for SITC (Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning) of commercial
electrical projects. This role requires deep understanding of electrical systems, local
market pricing, and vendor networks to deliver competitive and profitable project
estimates.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Analysis
 Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical SITC projects including materials,
labor, equipment, and overhead costs
 Analyze project drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to
determine accurate material quantities and work scope
 Develop comprehensive BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for electrical components,
cables, switchgear, lighting, and allied items
 Calculate installation costs including labour rates, equipment rental, and project
duration estimates
 Prepare competitive tender submissions ensuring technical compliance and
commercial viability
 Review and validate estimates for accuracy and completeness before submission
Market Research & Vendor Coordination
 Maintain updated database of material costs, labor rates, and equipment pricing in
Bangalore market
 Coordinate with local vendors and OE suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
for electrical equipment
 Negotiate pricing with suppliers to secure best rates while maintaining quality
standards
 Evaluate supplier capabilities and delivery timelines for project requirements
 Build and maintain relationships with electrical equipment distributors,
manufacturers, and contractors

Technical Documentation
 Prepare detailed technical proposals including methodology, project schedules,
and resource allocation
 Create presentation materials for client meetings and tender submissions
 Develop standard estimation templates and costing databases for various project
types
 Maintain comprehensive records of historical project costs and pricing trends
 Coordinate with design team to optimize solutions for cost-effectiveness
Project Support & Coordination
 Support business development team with technical inputs during client
presentations
 Collaborate with project managers during project execution to track actual vs.
estimated costs
 Assist in value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without
compromising quality
 Provide technical clarifications to clients and consultants during tender evaluation
process
 Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits for accurate project assessment
Essential Requirements
Experience & Background
 Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical estimation and costing, specifically
in Bangalore market
 Proven experience in preparing estimates for commercial electrical SITC projects
 Strong knowledge of local electrical equipment suppliers, distributors, and OE
representatives in Bangalore
 Experience with various project types including offices, retail, hospitals,
educational institutions, and industrial facilities
Technical Expertise
 Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical
qualification
 Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution,
lighting, fire alarm, and building automation
 Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, single line diagrams, and technical
specifications
 Understanding of electrical installation practices, standards (IS, IEC), and safety
regulations
 Knowledge of project management principles and construction methodologies
Software & Technical Skills
 Advanced proficiency in MS Excel including complex formulas, macros, pivot
tables, and data analysis
 Experience with estimation software and CAD applications (AutoCAD preferred)
 Familiarity with project management tools and ERP systems
 Ability to create professional presentations using MS PowerPoint

Communication & Language Skills
 Excellent communication skills in English with ability to present technical
information clearly
 Working knowledge of Kannada to effectively communicate with local vendors,
contractors, and suppliers
 Strong negotiation skills for vendor interactions and cost optimization
 Professional written communication for technical proposals and correspondence
Core Competencies
 Strong analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations
 Attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies and potential cost
overruns
 Time management skills to handle multiple estimates and meet tight deadlines
 Problem-solving abilities to resolve technical and commercial challenges

Preferred Qualifications
 Experience with government tender processes and public sector projects
 Knowledge of energy efficiency solutions and green building technologies
 Familiarity with electrical testing and commissioning procedures
 Experience in preparing estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)
projects
Location Requirements
 Must be based in Bangalore with comprehensive understanding of local market
dynamics
 Established relationships with Bangalore-based electrical equipment suppliers and
distributors
 Knowledge of local cost structures, labour rates, and regulatory requirements
 Familiarity with Bangalore’s commercial areas and typical project requirements

Role Summary
We are looking for a senior businessdevelopmentleader to drive growth for our workplace interior projects. The role is responsible for acquiring new corporate clients, building strategic relationships, generating qualified leads, and converting them into profitable interior fit-out projects.
This position will own the entire businessdevelopmentlifecycle  from lead generation to deal closure  working closely with the design, estimation, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Development & Sales
  2. Identify and acquire new corporate and workplace interior projects
  3. Generate leads through brokers, consultants, developers, PMCs, corporates, and direct clients
  4. Pitch company capabilities, design solutions, and value propositions to decision-makers
  5. Lead negotiations, finalize commercials, and close deals
  6. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
  7. Client & Relationship Management
  8. Build and maintain strong relationships with CXOs, facility heads, real estate teams, and consultants
  9. Act as the primary point of contact during pre-sales and handover to execution teams
  10. Ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business

Market & Strategy

  1. Track market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming workplace projects
  2. Develop BD strategies for target sectors (IT, corporates, MNCs, startups, etc.)
  3. Identify partnerships with brokers, channel partners, and industry stakeholders


Internal Coordination
Work closely with:

  1. Design team for proposals and presentations
  2. Estimation team for BOQs and pricing
  3. Project team for smooth handover post-award
  4. Ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with company margins

Leadership & Reporting

  1. Build and manage a BD/sales pipeline
  2. Mentor junior BD or sales team members (if applicable)
  3. Prepare regular MIS reports on leads, conversions, revenue, and forecasts
  4. Report directly to senior management / founders

Required Skills & Qualifications

  1. Proven experience in commercial / workplace interiors business development
  2. Strong network with corporates, brokers, PMCs, and consultants
  3. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  4. Ability to understand drawings, BOQs, and project costing (high-level)
  5. Result-driven, self-motivated, and strategic thinker
  6. Comfortable with field work, client meetings, and networking events

Preferred Background

  1. Experience with office fit-outs, commercial interiors, turnkey projects
  2. Exposure to medium to large value projects
  3. Strong closing track record in B2B environments
