ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced procurement professional who knows heavy construction equipment parts extremely well from market experience, with strong exposure to both backhoe and excavator machines. This role is centered on category-wise sourcing, supplier development, commercial negotiation, and ensuring part availability in line with business demand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own category-wise procurement of backhoe and excavator parts across key models and part categories, ensuring availability in line with business demand.
• Build, evaluate, and expand the supplier base by travelling to markets, identifying capable vendors, and securing better commercial deals.
• Drive supplier negotiations on pricing, payment terms, delivery timelines, and overall supply reliability while coordinating demand-supply planning.
• Develop alternate sources for critical and fast-moving parts and execute pull-ins / push-outs with strong follow-up on purchase orders and deliveries.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, buying, or spare parts handling within backhoe, excavator, or a closely related heavy construction equipment parts market.
• Strong working knowledge of parts categories, supplier networks, market pricing, and sourcing practices across heavy construction equipment.
• Prior exposure to backhoe and excavator machines, parts, dealers, aftermarket suppliers, or a similar construction equipment ecosystem is strongly preferred.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Knows backhoe and excavator machines and parts in depth through hands-on market experience, not just theory.
• Is strong in vendor development, procurement execution, and commercial negotiation.
• Can travel regularly, assess supplier capability, and close dependable sourcing arrangements.
• Works with ownership, urgency, and a strong focus on availability, price, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

2. Ensure work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and standards
3. Monitor project progress and prepare daily/weekly reports
4. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams
5. Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and safety compliance
6. Manage material requirements and ensure optimal utilization
7. Assist in project planning, estimation, and cost control
8. Resolve on-site issues and ensure minimal delays
Required Skills & Competencies
1. Strong understanding of construction processes and site execution
2. Knowledge of civil drawings, BOQs, and project planning
3. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel
4. Good communication and coordination skills
5. Problem-solving attitude with attention to detail
Preferred Candidate Profile
1. Experience in residential/commercial real estate projects
2. Ability to handle site independently
3. Willingness to work on-site and manage field operations
