Reporting to: Service & Delivery Manager / Head of IT
Exp: 8 – 14 years
Salary: Upto 17 LPA.
The Role
● Plan, direct and coordinate all activities relating to software development.
● Manage the Development team to ensure adherence to all processes and coding standards.
● Monitor and oversee all development activity in the India development team (and UK team as required) to ensure progress on all tasks – reporting and resolving issues / blockers and ensuring timescales are met.
● Set attainable goals for all team members in order to ensure projects are delivered on time and to required quality.
● Manage comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
● Act as interpreter between IT and Operations, translating technical Agile methodologies into more classical operational reporting enabling transparency of delivery effort, deliverables and milestones.
● Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and high levels of solutions adoption.
● Represent the Development team in meetings at all functional levels.
● Review Unit tests and ensures effective testing of all development activities.
● Document, review and maintain development standards to adhere to latest techniques and development tools.
The Candidate
● Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
● Atlassian JIRA, Confluence and Service Desk Champion
● Experience managing multiple work streams, preferably with microservices projects
● Experience managing Mobile App Development and Web Development projects
● Extensive leadership experience and strong team-leading abilities
● Excellent problem-solving skills
● Minimum three to five years of development management experience, including development work and interactions with customers
● Experience in working with and managing offshore teams and resources
