Skills required
- Extensive experience in development of customized and highly efficient system programs, preferably for multiple operating systems, must on Linux.
- Solid coding skills with 8-10 years in software development role and expertise in C/C++/Golang on Linux, efficiently utilizing multi-threaded/multi-core environment.
- Good hands on developing and integrating open source software
- Good understanding of IP networks
- Good understanding of Linux system, kernel, networking stack and file system
- Experience with Linux device drivers will be an advantage
- Experience/knowledge of video/image processing and rendering technology will be an advantage
- Conducting system design activities and reviews of detailed application module specifications, classes, objects, methods, and other software components
- Ensuring that architectural solutions met technical and functional requirements
- Reviewing existing system architecture and recommending improvements and participating in engineering reviews to determine any ambiguities
- Scrutinizing change requests to determine the magnitude of work done and estimating the level of effort
- Closely work with project management and customer stakeholders to define the requirements, prioritization, estimations, documentation, delivery and support fronts
- Proven experience developing strategic system architecture plans
- Above-average analytical, conceptual and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid track record in prioritizing and executing tasks when under extreme pressure
- Experience providing guidance and leadership to novice systems engineers
- Proven experience identifying, analysing and resolving system problems
- Understanding of the quality matrix, agile framework
