As a Financial Analyst, you will gain exposure to a broad range of strategies across all aspects of financial planning, superannuation and investments. You will be required to perform non-client facing tasks based on instructions provided by financial advisers for their clients. The role will include but not limited to:
· Process personal information provided by clients during a meeting with their Financial Adviser
· Identify their key goals and objectives.
· Develop a strategically accurate and timely financial plan document (statements of advice) that addresses the client’s needs and meets their objectives.
· Undertake highly technical analytical and forecasting work including cash flow and capital forecasting using sophisticated financial planning software.
· High quality plan preparation.
Skill set required
· Strong finance and business acumen.
· Excellent interpersonal, listening and numerical skills
· Analytical and research skills
· Report writing and clear written communication skills
· Effective time and caseload management and ability to manage tight deadlines.
· Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel and willing to learn new software
· Able and willing to work on own initiative, sometimes for long time periods
· A flexible approach to business hours
Education requirement
· Minimum Bachelors Degree (specialization in Finance, Business or Economics )
· Post Graduate degree in Finance, Business or Economics is highly desirable
