Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies and procedures.
• Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding contracts.
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment. Maintain records and track goods ordered and received.
• Locate potential suppliers and vendors of materials, equipment or supplies. Maintain a database of approved suppliers
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments
• Track, measure and analyse company expenditures and Control purchasing department budgets.
• Inventory management – Setting minimum inventory levels
• Arrange for disposal of surplus / non-moving materials.
• Determine and track KPIs
• Gap Analysis in OTD (On-Time Delivery)
• Keep track of all Licenses required for imports / exports.
• Dispatch plan adherence; Logistics Support
• Adherence to company policies and identifying continuous improvement processes
• Prepare MIS reports for management
