Key Responsibilities
- Test Script Development: Design, develop, and implement robust automated test scripts using Python within a BDD framework (Cucumber).
- Framework Design & Maintenance: Build and maintain automation frameworks employing advanced software development principles, OOPs, and design patterns.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and clients to understand application requirements and develop effective test strategies.
- Comprehensive Testing: Conduct regression, functional, and performance testing to validate software functionality and reliability.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with the development team.
- CI/CD Integration: Actively participate in continuous integration and deployment processes to streamline testing workflows.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test protocols, and results.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 6+ years in automation testing with a strong grasp of STLC and testing methodologies.
- Python Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Python (OOPs, multithreading, exception handling, etc.), including framework design using Pytest or unittest.
- BDD Frameworks: Proven experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
- Automation Tools: Proficiency in tools like Selenium, Robot Framework, JMeter, and LoadRunner.
- API Testing: Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with tools like Jenkins and GitLab for continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
