Post – Dy. ManagerJOB DESCRIPTION: –
CoordinaƟng project design assignments and design teams.
Define system requirements, instrumentaƟon, and control requirements (IPDS), and control logic; define system equipment and components required to meet those requirements.
Performing system hydraulic calculaƟons including pump selecƟon, sizing, and applicaƟon.
Pipe and valve sizing including selecƟon of appropriate piping materials and valve types for applicaƟons.
SelecƟon of valves including definiƟon of valves requirements and datasheets.
SelecƟon of Chemical Reactors, Vessels, Heat exchangers, Centrifuges etc. and
FuncƟonal coordinaƟon and reviews of detailed pipe rouƟng (by others) for conformance with system design requirements including pipe support selecƟon/placement.
Developing equipment specificaƟons, technical bid evaluaƟng, procuring, reviewing vendor drawings and factory acceptance tesƟng of mechanical equipment.
Administer equipment contracts (change evaluaƟon, coordinate schedules, coordinate technical issues)
Preparing/creaƟng deliverables like process flow diagram, P&ID, valve lists, line list, standard detail sheets for construcƟng/installaƟon of new or modificaƟons of exisƟng power generaƟng facility mechanical systems.
Review calculaƟons, drawings and design documents produced by others for conformance with project requirements as well as Company and industry standards.
Providing leadership, guidance, instrucƟon, and mentorship to less experienced staff members;
Regularly meeƟng and corresponding with clients or outside personnel.
SupporƟng development and improvements of department standard work procedures and workflows to support a successful work share approach amongst the various offices for all projects.
This posiƟon requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and pracƟces to broad areas of assignments. Must be capable of interpreƟng and developing soluƟons to complex problems.
QualificaƟons include:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum 5-6 years of related experience with exposure to piping design, pump selecƟon, rotaƟng equipment, and process design.
SoŌware experience uƟlizing 2D/3D, AUTOCAD, Revit, PDMS etc.
Proficient in the English language and must demonstrate excellent oral and wriƩen communicaƟon skills, as well as strong analyƟcal and problem-solving skills.
Previous consulƟng engineering experience preferred.
