Experience a) At least 10 -15 years of working experience in the manufacturing industry. Gender:- Male
  Language Fluent in written and spoken English, Hindi and Marathi  
Lighting industry preferred.
b) To be overall incharge of :-
    – Purchasing (Supply Base),
    – Procurement (Supply Chain)
    – Production Planning & Control.
    – Subcontracting
    – Vendor development – Local & Global
    – Imports
    – Exports
    – Incoming and outgoing logistics
    – Sale of scrap
Knowledge a) Full understanding of  Materials Management related to smooth operation of manufacturing unit.
b) Thorough understanding of legal aspects of purchasing activities.
c) Thorough knowledge related to manufacturing process (Lighting Industry preferred)
Working ability a) Be able to work independently  in concurrence with company’s policies..
b) Coordinate with internal and external customers and perform various functions in ensuring that
        i) Quality products are procured in right quantity, at right time,
       ii) Conforming to internal accepted quality standard,
      iii) At competitive  prices.
c) Develop strategies to make sure that cost savings and supplier performance targets are met – or exceeded
d)  Develop and implement best practices, procedures, and policies for Materials Management.
e)  Oversee the management of supplier/vendor product cost, quality and delivery performance.
f) Negotiation Skill:
    i) Should be able at conducting negotiations with suppliers to determine contract terms and product price
h) Analytical Skill:
     i)  Have the ability to analyze price, techno commercial terms
     ii) Should be able to conduct research to discover profitable purchasing deals and suppliers offering such deals
i) Networking Skill:
    – Operate related softwares.
    – To be skilled in building and maintaining professional contacts in order to discover new opportunities for better procurement deals
j) Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities. Prepare monthly reports of purchasing operations and submit to upper management.
