Site Engineer – Description of job profile:-

Site Engineer will be responsible for installations and commissioning of
work order in his assigned area. He ensures the target to be completed and
achieved on timely basis and present MIS accordingly to Project Leader
and Project Head.
He will be coordinating with HO and Project Leader for completion of work,
and will escalate the issues and matter then and there to avoid delays.

Responsibilities :-
 Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications.
 Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with
design and equipment specifications and safety standards.
 Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects
 Keep current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering
 Carry out daytime and night time lighting surveys for installed lights.
 Responsible for the complete of specifically assigned tasks to time and
cost.
 Oversees inspections of installations, takes corrective action and makes
design changes when necessary.
 Performs night time investigation of street lighting outages periodically.
 Handles difficult contact situations with the public involving street lighting
inquiries and complaints.
 Prepares a wide variety of reports and correspondence in association
with street lighting and related activities of the City.
 Acts as the City’s representative of company in contact with the public
involving street lighting inquiries and complaints.

Skills and Qualification:-
 BE/ME Electrical, Should have 2-6 Yrs Experience in Installations and
commissioning of electrical works.
 Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of street lighting
as related to the engineering, design, installation and inspection of lighting
systems.
 Should have knowledge of modern electrical distribution and power
systems.
 Ability to evaluate problems in the field and make on the spot decisions
and changes.
 Ability to prepare plans specifications and detailed material and labor cost
estimates.
 Should be able to writing of correspondence and reports in association
with assigned duties.
 Should be able to keep financial records and analyze billings and cost
charges to ascertain their accuracy.
 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the
public and with persons contacted in the course of the work.
 Ability to plan, direct and coordinate the activities of subordinate
personnel.
