Responsibilities
-Responsible for the creative strategies and direction.
-Carrying out duties such as casting, script editing, shot composition, shot selection and editing
-Acting as the crucial link between the production, technical and creative teams
-Responsible for the interpretation of a written script, using their vision and creativity, along with organizational and technical skills, to deliver a complete motion picture.
-Insures the timely development and execution of plan, campaigns, and projects to assure earnings, growth, and profit goals are achieved.
-Should be able to work under strict deadlines, budget concerns, and balancing numerous personalities and responsibilities.
-Should have knowledge in film-making and film theory, cinematography, editing, lighting, and related tasks.
-Should coordinate with all the other relevant parties to make sure that everything is in order for shooting. Shooting locations are selected, rehearsals are held, props are purchased, and the shooting schedule is established.
-Manage multiple projects from concept through completion – coaching the actors and the crew and making sure that everything is done according to budget, schedule and the intended style of the film.
-Oversee the process of editing the raw footage into a coherent whole.
