Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead and expand our sales operations. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in managing sales teams, developing retailer networks, and driving business growth within the building materials, steel, or construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve business targets.
- Develop and strengthen the retailer and dealer network in assigned territories.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market reach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, contractors, and key customers.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve productivity and revenue.
- Set sales targets and ensure timely achievement of business objectives.
- Conduct regular market visits to assess customer needs and competitor activities.
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and business development plans.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
- Train and guide team members on sales techniques and market development activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in building materials, steel, roofing, construction products, or related industries.
- Proven experience in handling and managing a sales team.
- Strong retailer/dealer network development and relationship management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and team management abilities.
- Strong understanding of sales planning, market expansion, and business development.
- Proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing will be an added advantage.
- Experience in the steel, construction, or building products industry preferred.
- Strong market knowledge and ability to drive channel sales growth.
- Result-oriented with a proactive and leadership-driven approach.
