Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and execute a comprehensive business development
strategy for the FMCG divisions, aligning with company goals.
o Identify emerging trends, market shifts, and competitive landscape to
inform strategic direction and growth initiatives.
2. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in
FMCG companies.
o Identify potential clients, develop a targeted approach, and manage
the sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets.
o Present the agency’s services effectively, showcasing capabilities and
previous successes to win new accounts.
3. Team Leadership:
o Lead, mentor, and manage the Business Development team, setting
clear objectives and providing support to ensure high performance.
o Work closely with cross-functional teams (Creative, Client Servicing,
and Accounts) to ensure alignment and successful client onboarding.
4. Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
o Conduct in-depth research on market trends, client needs, and
industry developments within FMCG.
o Provide insights to the internal team, shaping campaign strategies
and value propositions based on client requirements.
5. Proposal Development and Negotiation:
o Develop high-quality proposals, presentations, and RFP responses
that communicate value propositions effectively.
o Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, and terms to secure
beneficial partnerships and long-term engagements.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. MBA
or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in business development within the
advertising industry, with a strong focus on FMCG sectors.
• Skills:
o Demonstrated success in client acquisition and relationship
management.
o Strong knowledge of advertising, digital marketing, and industry-
specific challenges.
o Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
o Proficiency in CRM software and data analysis tools is a plus.
