Read More »Job Purpose: Reporting to the MD, the job holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of travel business across Mumbai. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that strategic and tactical plans are in place and a value proposition is created for all stakeholders.
Accountabilities will include operating the business seamlessly, achieving financial targets, complying with local and international standards, managing operations efficiently and delivering a customer focused service in accordance with Jetways corporate values.
· Responsible for establishing medium to long-term plans and setting appropriate contingency measures to secure the long-term positioning, profitability and brand value of bussiness.
· Responsible for establishing business objectives ensuring maintenance of quality of service, customer satisfaction and effective service recovery and achieving the sales targets in line with the agreed strategy.
· Actively lead and provide direction to the operational/sales teams to ensure revenue targets are realized at all levels of the business and that overall profitability objectives are achieved through implementation of efficient and effective working practices.
· Manage and develop relationships with key clientele, airlines, vendors, suppliers, government authorities and other service providers, forging relationships that support and promote the business purpose, image, products and profitability in the entire market.
· Ensure cost effectiveness is achieved in all areas of the business through the efficient utilization and deployment of resources and through effective implementation of best practices and policies.
· Develop new clients and increase business from existing clients to meet budgeted figures. Making tactical decisions to enhance market share and generating additional revenue where opportunities arise.
· Based on the market, customer preferences and management expectations develop creative initiatives to promote principal products and services to maximize the business presence and impact.
· Responsible for creating a culture of service excellence; utilizing periodical service audits, and employing appropriate, efficient service recovery measures where necessary.
· Responsible for ensuring all business units across Mumbai are prepared, equipped and staff trained to achieve targets in line with the Company strategy.
· Responsible for the management of all staff including team morale and welfare. Employ leadership techniques to appropriately manage workforce in a high-pressure and challenging environment.

· University graduate from a business discipline with 10 years’ experience in travel industry, of which a minimum of 5 years in a managerial level with a Travel Management Company.
· Strong general management and leadership skills, along with a well-developed sense of commercial acumen.
· Fluency in both written and spoken English.
· Must have extensive experience across a broad range of travel related disciplines. Must possess excellent people management skills, with highly effective communication and negotiation skills.
· Must have prior experience in travel industry product pricing, contract negotiation and must be familiar with the unique complexities associated with the industry and airline and customer requirements.
· Must have proven track record of strategic planning.
