Roles & Responsibilities:
Achieve targets on business conversions
Achieve targets on revenue generation and profitability
Sourcing rates from carriers
FCL / LCL / Containers / Special equipment
Receiving enquiries from clients, agents, internally
Understanding RFQ and client specific requirement
Should be well aware with container carriers and trade lanes
Maintaining sailing schedule changes, tracking and updation of trade surcharges
Coordinating internally and sourcing rates from other activities (transport, CHA, Insurance, Handling etc.)
Coordinate with carrier in case of any booking / Space / Allotment issues
Should be aware of FMC Rate Filing and ACD/ ENS compliances.
In case of US Shipments Should be able to File the NAC (Named A/c Filing)
Coordinate with overseas agents for pricing of DAP, DDP, CROSS TRADE shipments
Quoting to the clients / overseas agents complete enquiries on door-to-door basis
Database management
Should assist to create database which includes all major Locals Origin Charges, Tariffs (THC Charges / Liner Local /
Port Charges / Detention Demurrage Charges / Reefer Plug in Charges / SSR / VIA Charges / Seaway / BL / SWICH
Charges / Empty Origin detention / Port wharfage at various ports)
To updated teams internally on latest route changes, launch of any New Services
Deployment of New services and their rate levels.
Shipping line coordination:
Escalations
Rates Filing & Negotiation with carriers
Maintaining relations
Prepare
Rate sheets (if required) and vessel positions and share internally
Conversion and business lost analysis
Business requirement:
Good relation with carriers / NVOCCs / feeder operator
