Development
● Providing support towards existing systems
● Develop new systems and features to the specification and timeframe
● Scope out new functionality, create specifications and estimates
● Use best practices, strive for high quality, well-tested code
● Migrate legacy code to a microservice architecture, maintaining backward compatibility and
availability
● Actively seek to improve processes, workflows and technologies
Personal
● Understanding of the crossover between business goals and development goals
● Problem solving
● Excellent communication skills
● Attention to detail
Skills / Experience
Essential
● Linux, PHP 7, MySQL
● Object-oriented programming
● MVC frameworks – we use Slim (with views to move to Laravel)
● Reactive JavaScript frameworks – we use VueJS
● Development of RESTful JSON APIs
● Git
● Docker
● Excellent problem solving skills
● 6+ years of experience in relevant roles
Nice to Have
● Experience working in a team of developers Google Cloud
● Knowledge of Continuous Integration techniques
● Experience working with eCommerce platforms
● Examples of code & projects completed
