Salary: 4 lakhs to 5 lakhs PA

Responsibilities :

• Create and maintain Entity Relationship (ER) Diagrams for existing and new databases
• Create database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, functions and triggers
• Maintain referential integrity, domain integrity and column integrity by the use of constraints and other available options
• Identify and avoid potential blocking and deadlocking
• Identify and avoid potential security flaws such as SQL injections
• Optimize existing and new database code (functions, stored procedures, etc.) for performance and scalability
• Set up and maintain backup, restore and deployment routines
• Actively participate in discussions around new database technology, choice of platform, improvement areas
• Work closely with web and mobile app development teams to secure the best possible end user product

Desired Skills and Experience

• Minimum 4 years of development experience in Microsoft SQL Server, including recent versions
• Excellent query writing, performance optimization and trouble shooting skills
• Srong knowledge of Transact-SQL, procedures, execution plans, functions and triggers
• Experience with XML and data handling across different systems
• Experience from high-traffic web sites or similar scenarios requiring a high level of performance and scalability
• Good knowledge of English in a work setting

Good to have

• Experience with cloud based solutions (SQL Azure)
• Experience with Agile development and associated tools (Jira)
• B. Tech or higher degree, and one or more certifications on Microsoft SQL Server
