A graphic designer’s job may involve managing more than one design brief at a time and allocating the relevant amount of time according to the value of the job. The candidate will be responsible to meet clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job and interpreting the client’s business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose. Responsible to estimate the time required to complete the work, developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research and thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts. The candidate should be capable to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time by using their innovation and able to represent finalized ideas and concepts to clients or account managers. Responsible to contribute ideas and design artwork to the overall brief, demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and capable to work on layouts and art working pages ready for print. The candidate should keep abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as In Design, QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver, Coral Draw and Flash, develop interactive designs and work as part of a team with printers, copywriters, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists. The salary offered is 25,000 to 35,000 per month maximum in hand
