Developer Engineer Job description
Must have expertise in following areas:
– Jenkins and test automation
– Puppet automation
– Foreman automation
– SALT automation
– Selenium automation
– Setup auto scaling of our workers
– Make our deployments faster and safer
– Scale our Elastic search and MongoDB clusters to support our growing data sizes
– Make sure our backup and recovery procedures are well tested
Skill Set Required
– Extensive experience with web server configuration, monitoring, trending.
– Scripting language: Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, Java. to ensure operations automation and data gathering are accomplished seamlessly.
– Familiarity with systems management tools like Puppet.
– Experience with Puppet, Chef, or other automation tools a strong plus
– Ability to work cooperatively with software developers, testers, and database administrators
– Strong programming and scripting skills such as:
— Scripting (various languages as needed)
— Understanding of RESTful environments, JSON, and associated technologies
• Exceptional problem-solving expertise and attention to detail
• Self-management skills
