JOB DESCRIPTION (4 PM – 1 AM Arizona Time, Mon-Friday)

CS Planning and Design

CAD TECHNICIANS to assist the Job Captain and Director of Architecture as needed to complete all required CAD drafting and related work on projects assigned to them. This includes a working collaboration with the Director of Architecture, Job Captain, and Foodservice Drawings where applicable.

FOR PROJECT

* Must understand and coordinate the production of architectural drawings and design
development drawings, coordinating all aspects of the set.
* Assist in maintaining project files in the cloud and proper naming and filing of digital files
per project standards.
* When the Director of Architecture and/or Job Captain is out of office, the CAD Technician
shall assist in drafting needs and report back to the Job Captain what transpired in his or
her absence.
* Always ask questions to ensure the correct direction is taken the first time.
* Prepare a complete set of design development or construction documents which shall
include:

 Assist in updating the Cartoon Set until CD’s are completed.

 Drafting of all drawing sheets, including but not limited to cover,
schedules, plans, elevations, sections and details.

 Use drawing checklists as each sheet is created to ensure that all sheets
are complete and coordinated.

 Propose additional drawings and details as needed to complete direction.

 Pick up daily redlines provided by Director of Architecture and/or Job
Captains and others.

 Revise Plans with all comments received to submit a FINAL Issue set to
all involved in project.

 Assist with Project Closeout by creating and distributing As-Built
documents for archive purposes.

Besides producing a complete set of accurate drawing documents the following responsibilities are also required to be done by the projects CAD TECHNICIAN:

* Take ownership of your work
* Learn project standards for CAD
* Pick up all corrections and research any items that are in question
* Always go the extra mile and ask what you can do next
* Strive to learn Building Codes and common construction detailing
* Learn standards on making revisions, responding to comments and being thorough
* Should be able to work on multiple projects at any time
* Always keep ALL project schedule deadlines and project deliverables in mind.
* Assist in the postmortem of the project to better the next one.
