Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor with prior experience in a hospital/healthcare environment. The candidate will be responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards, and ensuring proper use of sanitation chemicals and housekeeping equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage housekeeping staff and their daily activities.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene across hospital areas, including patient rooms, wards, corridors, OPD, ICU, washrooms, and other designated areas.
• Monitor and maintain hospital housekeeping standards as per hygiene and sanitation protocols.
• Ensure proper handling, dilution, storage, and usage of sanitation chemicals.
• Have workable knowledge of housekeeping equipment such as scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, mops, floor cleaning machines, etc.
• Allocate duties and shifts to housekeeping staff and monitor attendance and performance.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation.
• Ensure timely cleaning and disinfection of high-touch and critical areas.
• Train housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety practices, chemical handling, and use of equipment.
• Maintain adequate stock of cleaning materials, chemicals, consumables, and equipment.
• Report maintenance issues, shortages, or hygiene-related concerns to the concerned authority.
• Ensure proper disposal and handling of waste as per hospital protocols.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and other departments to address housekeeping requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping records, checklists, and daily reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in housekeeping supervision, preferably in a hospital/healthcare environment.
• Working knowledge of sanitation chemicals, cleaning agents, and their applications.
• Practical knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning equipment.
• Good understanding of hospital hygiene, sanitation, and cleaning protocols.
• Good supervisory and team-management skills.
• Ability to train and monitor housekeeping staff.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in shifts, if required.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with prior experience in hospital housekeeping, healthcare facilities, hotels, or large institutional facilities will be preferred.
