1. Product Engineering and Development
Lead the full lifecycle of products such as AMDBS, BMBS, AMDBS with EP assist, Brake discs , Brake pads and other related braking components
Interpret and implement RDSO specifications, drawings, and testing procedures for each assigned product.
Prepare detailed design documents, material specifications, process flow charts, and inspection standards aligned with RDSO and ISO requirements.
Drive prototype development, functional testing, and design validation through internal and external resources.
Establish manufacturability guidelines and ensure seamless transfer from design to production.
Guide development in new segments (e.g., brake pads, elastomeric parts) through benchmarking, reverse engineering, and vendor technical collaboration.
2. Technical Documentation and Compliance
Prepare and maintain all technical files, QAPs, DFMEA, PPAP, and process qualification documents.
Ensure full compliance with RDSO, IRIS, ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards and customer-specific audit requirements.
Coordinate with RDSO, inspection agencies, and certification bodies for prototype and type approvals.
Maintain traceable documentation for all tests, validations, and corrective actions.
3. Quality Assurance and Vendor Support
Define and verify testing parameters such as torque, fatigue, load, pressure, and vibration tests for all critical components.
Support quality teams and vendors in achieving design conformance, metallurgical integrity, and process capability.
Conduct failure analysis, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and CAPA for deviations or rejections.
Approve tooling, gauges, and testing fixtures to ensure compliance with design intent.
4. Cross-Functional and Project Leadership
Collaborate with production, purchase, and QC departments to ensure material readiness, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
Lead technical meetings, feasibility reviews, and product audits.
Train engineers in technical documentation, design interpretation, and compliance procedures.
Identify and evaluate opportunities for indigenization, localization, and design optimization.
