Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Accounting

  • Maintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping for client accounts
  • Record and reconcile bank transactions, AR/AP, and general ledger
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

BAS & Compliance

  • Prepare and lodge BAS (Business Activity Statements)
  • Handle GST calculations, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations

Payroll Management

  • Process payroll end-to-end for clients
  • Handle payroll compliance including superannuation, PAYG, and payroll reports
  • Address payroll-related queries and discrepancies

Client Management

  • Act as the primary accounting point of contact for assigned clients
  • Coordinate with clients to collect financial data and resolve queries
  • Provide timely updates and support on accounting matters

Reporting & Support

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Support external auditors and tax consultants with required documentation
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Bookkeeping, BAS, Payroll, GST
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting reports

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience handling multiple clients is preferred
  • Exposure to international accounting (Australia preferred) is an added advantage

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Commerce / Finance
  • Accounting certification or diploma is a plus

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and client-handling skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently
