Role Summary
The Management Representative (MR) will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) within an auto component manufacturing environment. The role requires deep knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF/TS 16949, Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and key quality processes. The MR will serve as the primary liaison with certification bodies, internal teams, and customer auditors.
Key Responsibilities
QMS Management
- Establish, implement, maintain, and enhance the organization’s QMS in alignment with ISO 9001 & IATF/TS 16949 standards.
- Develop, review, and update Quality Manuals, SOPs, Process Maps, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
- Ensure all departments adhere to documented quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
Audits & Compliance
- Plan, schedule, and conduct internal quality audits across all departments.
- Coordinate external audits: certification audits, surveillance audits, customer audits, and supplier audits.
- Lead Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes and monitor closure of non-conformities.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Audits (ISO 14001) and safety standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Manage and control all QMS documentation, revisions, and records as per standards.
- Prepare audit reports, quality dashboards, compliance status reports for top management reviews.
- Conduct and document Management Review Meetings (MRM).
Process Improvement
- Identify process gaps and initiate Kaizen, Lean, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs related to quality, productivity, scrap reduction, and compliance.
- Drive standardization across operations and support new process deployment.
Training & Awareness
- Conduct internal training sessions on QMS, audits, process compliance, and standard requirements.
- Build awareness among teams on ISO/IATF requirements and ensure cultural alignment with quality objectives.
Customer & Supplier Interface
- Handle customer complaints related to quality systems and documentation.
- Coordinate PPAP, APQP, and other customer-specific quality requirements when needed.
- Support supplier audits and supplier quality development initiatives.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF/TS 16949 standards.
- Certified Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor (preferred).
- Hands-on experience in automotive quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
- Deep understanding of process audits, product audits, system audits, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
