Key Responsibilities
Conduct R&D on new integration technologies and propose innovative approaches to
enhance interoperability.
Design, develop, and maintain integrations between our products and 3rd party
healthcare systems, EMRs/EHRs, HIS, LIS, CRMs, and other platforms.
Implement and support integrations using FHIR, HL7 v2/v3, CDA, DICOM, and other
relevant standards.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and client teams to understand integration needs
and deliver effective solutions.
Ensure data security, compliance, and performance optimization in all integrations.
Develop API-based integrations (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and manage data mapping,
transformation, and workflows.
Maintain thorough documentation of integration designs, R&D findings, and technical
workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, providing support to internal teams and
clients.
Keep up to date with the latest in healthcare interoperability standards, regulatory
requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.), and industry trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Biomedical
Informatics, or related field.
3+ years of experience in system integration, preferably within the healthcare/health IT
domain.
Strong knowledge of FHIR (R4, STU3), HL7 v2/v3, CDA/CCD, and healthcare
interoperability standards.
Experience with API development & integration (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, GraphQL).
Hands-on experience with integration engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody,
Cloverleaf, Ensemble, etc.).
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, or
similar).
Strong understanding of healthcare workflows (EHR/EMR, claims, patient data
exchange, clinical messaging).
Knowledge of data security and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and conduct innovative R&D in integration strategies.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Experience with cloud-based healthcare solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Exposure to AI/ML use cases in healthcare data integration.
Familiarity with IHE profiles (XDS, PIX, PDQ) and healthcare messaging standards.
Prior experience integrating with Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, Meditech, or other major EHR
systems.
