We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pre-sales / Research Engineer
with a minimum of 3 years of expertise in Electronic Security, Fire
Detection/Suppression and Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS). He
needs to focus on industry analysis, customer shortlisting and have a strong techno-
commercial understanding of products. The successful candidate will play a crucial
role in supporting our sales team by generating leads and facilitating the conversion
of prospects into valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Industry Analysis:
• Conduct in-depth analysis of various industries to identify potential
customers and market trends.
• Stay updated on industry developments, competitor activities, and
emerging technologies.
2. Customer Shortlisting:
• Utilize market research to shortlist potential customers based on their
needs, requirements, and technological preferences.
• Collaborate with the sales team to create targeted lists for lead
generation.
3. Techno-Commercial Acumen:
• Possess a strong understanding of the technical aspects of products
and services.
• Analyze the commercial viability and market positioning of products to
align with customer expectations.
4. Lead Generation:
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop strategies for lead
generation within targeted industries.
• Identify key decision-makers and influencers within potential customer
organizations.
5. Product Knowledge:
• Stay abreast of the technical specifications, features, and applications of
the products/solutions offered by the company.
• Effectively communicate the value proposition to potential customers.
6. Collaboration with Sales Team:
• Work closely with the sales team to provide technical support during
the sales process.
• Give presentations to end clients & consultants & progress the lead
towards commercial discussions.
• Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and presentations for
clients.
7. Customer Engagement:
• Engage with potential customers to understand their technical
requirements and challenges.
• Provide pre-sales support to address customer queries and concerns.
8. Feedback Loop:
• Establish a feedback loop with the sales team to continuously improve
strategies based on customer interactions and market feedback.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pre-sales or research engineering role.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to translate technical information into commercially viable solutions.
