We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Private Chef to cater to the culinary needs of our MD & residence. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of various cuisines, have a passion for creating exquisite dishes, and be able to manage all aspects of meal planning, preparation, and presentation. This position requires a high level of creativity, flexibility, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Menu Planning:
ï‚· Collaborate with the MD and their family to create customized menus based on dietary preferences, allergies, and special requests.
ï‚· Ensure a variety of multicuisine options to cater to diverse tastes.
2. Grocery Shopping:
ï‚· Source and select high-quality ingredients, ensuring freshness and seasonality.
ï‚· Maintain inventory of pantry items and coordinate with suppliers.
3. Meal Preparation:
ï‚· Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in accordance with the established menus.
ï‚· Ensure that all meals are consistently well-prepared and presented.
4. Culinary Expertise:
ï‚· Exhibit proficiency in preparing a wide range of cuisines, including Indian Veg, Punjabi, Tandoori, Continental, Mexican, Thai and more.
ï‚· Keep up-to-date with culinary trends and techniques to create innovative dishes.
5. Kitchen Management:
ï‚· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
ï‚· Oversee kitchen staff, if applicable, and manage their schedules.
6. Special Events:
ï‚· Cater for special events, parties, and gatherings at the residence when required.
ï‚· Create special menus and accommodate guest requests.
7. Budget Management:
ï‚· Manage the food budget efficiently, making cost-effective choices without compromising quality.
ï‚· Keep detailed records of expenses.
8. Non-Alcoholic Beverage Knowledge:
ï‚· Select and pair beverages with meals.
9. Guest Relations:
ï‚· Interact professionally with family members and guests, providing a high level of service and hospitality.
ï‚· Adapt to guest preferences and dietary requirements.
10. Recipe Development:
ï‚· Develop and experiment with new recipes to add a personal touch to the dining experience.
Qualifications:
ï‚· Hotel Management Degree is preferred, but not mandatory.
ï‚· Proven experience as a Private Chef or in a similar role.
ï‚· Culinary degree or formal training is preferred.
ï‚· Proficiency in preparing a wide range of cuisines, especially Indian Veg, Punjabi,Tandoori, Continental, Mexican, Thai and more.
ï‚· Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
ï‚· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
ï‚· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
