Qualification: BE/BTech (Mechanical) / one-year diploma from regional Labour Institute
Location: Chennai (For initial 6 to 8 months candidate will be stationed at Basma plant then
shifted to Chennai plant)
Experience: 12 plus
Any Specific Industry: Tier 1 and Tier 2 (Automotive firm)/ Automobile
Manufacturing/Manufacturing
Skills & Competencies:
Technical:
1. EMS & HSE Knowledge.
2. Hands-on Knowledge for an implementation of Safety norms across the organization.
3. Exposure of building safety culture at the site.
Generic: Commercial – Good communication skills.
Areas of Expertise:
1. To create and implement health and safety policies in accordance with the latest legislation
and to ensure that these policies are implemented by management and employees
2. Supporting the Management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines issue.
3. Implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
4. Responsible to create a written health and safety policy and ensure that this document is
regularly updated to reflect any changes to the law.
5. Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System
procedures.
6. Undertake regular inspections and risk assessments, and ensuring that any hazards or
defects are rectified immediately.
7. To prevent accidents, injuries and work-related illnesses in the workplace.
8. Provides for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the
importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment
provided.
9. Another key role of the Health and Safety Manager in the workplace is ensuring training all
staff in safety issues.
10. Carries out analysis of accident/incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting
improvement plans.
11. Depending on the nature of the business, the Health and Safety Manager’s duties could
involve safeguarding machinery, fire safety, occupational health, noise, control of hazardous
substances, manual handling, working with display screen equipment, and environmental
health.
Compensation – 14 Lac CTC MAX
