Responsibilities
\nDrives creation of memorable and impactful products for a wide range of digital experiences, including web, mobile, and desktop applications
\nCreate artifacts (user flows, detailed wireframes, prototypes and other interaction design deliverables) that articulate a meaningful user experience
\nWork collaboratively with clients to translate business requirements into detailed application design solutions
\nAdvocate fiercely for the needs of application end users
\nParticipate in a user-centred design process, driving a focus on validation through user testing
\nCollaborate daily with a core team of specialists, strategists, visual designers, content strategists, and visual designers, to deliver digital experiences
\nDocument design standards<\/p>\n
Role Overview
\nThe ideal candidate is organized, has natural time and self-management skills, and is capable of juggling multiple accounts and tasks. They will effectively engage their supervisor and\/or project lead for approvals and creative direction in a timely manner. They will have good understanding of front-end development. We are looking for someone who stays up to date on emerging technologies, knows what will impact their ideas and designs and is able to clearly communicate and educate their clients. Creativity, basic front-end development knowledge, the ability to collaborate with all teams, independence, flexibility and accountability are a must.<\/p>\n
Requirements\/Qualifications
\n5+ years of experience in an interactive agency or product team \u2013 past interactive focus is a must
\nFull proficiency with standard wireframing\/prototyping tools (Axure, UXPin, InVision), strong proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite and\/or Sketch
\nAble to draw clear conclusions based on research and collaboration to develop clear direction and presentations for recommendations around direction.
\nStrong understanding of the implications of design choices on usability and accessibility, development effort, and SEO
\nIntimately understand the requirements of various form factors, including desktop, mobile, and large-scale screens
\nExpert proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Responsive design, JavaScript
\nAbility to covert Photoshop Visual Design mockups to valid cross-browser semantic HTML and CSS markup.
\nUnderstanding of front-end performance testing, optimization techniques and best practices (accessibility, 508\/WCAG compliance, performance optimization)
\nExperience with CSS preprocessors, like \u2013 LESS; JavaScript Templating Framework, e.g. Handlebars; JSON Objects; SVGs;<\/p>\n
Bonus Skills
\nExperience working in a fast paced environment while effectively prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight timelines
\nMust be able to work within a team environment, willing to learn, and take direction
\nAbility to manage the production release CSS support and deployment
\nDesign style sheets for website and assist application programmers in effective implementation and ensure all work according to scripting code with help of various technologies
\nCoordinate with designers and developers to develop various new products and features along with various interactive designs within required timeframe
\nMonitor and ensure high quality control on both designs and code for website
\nExpertise in JavaScript and Frameworks, like \u2013 Angular, JQuery, etc.
\nAbility to write reusable, modular CSS for large applications.
