Please go through the details :<\/p>\n<p><strong>Company:<\/strong> IT Company<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Chandigarh<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong> Database Development: 3 years<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary:<\/strong> Hike on Present (Negotiable)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scope of Position<\/li>\n<li>This role is expected to take an active role in the design, development and maintenance and to provide assistance with the support of applications software.<\/li>\n<li>The requirements of this position include technical analysis and programming, integration support, technical customer support and operations support.<\/li>\n<li>Functional Tasks and Responsibilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Analysis and Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Designing, coding, testing and installing applications programs up to 75% of the time, either in one major program or a range of programs across multiple platforms<\/li>\n<li>Preparing and maintaining systems and program documentation<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in the analysis and design of applications programs and databases.<\/li>\n<li>Developing enhancements to applications programs<\/li>\n<li>Assist in problem determination and resolution<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with business analysts to confirm\/clarify business requirements<\/li>\n<li>Work with the business analysts to evaluate possible solutions, and refine the business and technical requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that solutions are developed within agreed time frames and to the agreed scope such that business requirements are met<\/li>\n<li>Provide quality applications that are free of defects, fit for purpose, and designed for ongoing ease of support and maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Develop solutions that meet the security and privacy standards of UBC<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to published processes and procedures and recommend enhancements to process and procedures where appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Effectively communicate the status of development activities to the Project Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills, Knowledge and\/or experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3+ years of experience in Programming and Applications Design, with a minimum of 2 years in a large IT site, coupled with tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a related discipline<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years commercially proven experience in developing applications, including at least 2 years working with Microsoft .NET and\/or the Java language, architecture and design standards<\/li>\n<li>Developed knowledge of Object Orientated (OO) analysis and design, OO methodologies and techniques<\/li>\n<li>Developed skills and knowledge of one of the major relational database packages such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or DB2<\/li>\n<li>Good skills in personal work organisation and time management<\/li>\n<li>An ability to work to agreed deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Ability to understand the essential needs of users and meet these in well designed programs<\/li>\n<li>Experience in component and assembly testing<\/li>\n<li>In depth knowledge of the SDLC<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of common debugging techniques<\/li>\n<li>A tertiary degree in Computer Science or a related discipline<\/li>\n<li>Experience in planning and estimating personal work effort<\/li>\n<li>Professional demeanour and dedication to excellence<\/li>\n<li>Required education:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Master&#8217;s\u00a0Required language:<\/strong>\u00a0English<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hiring for Senior Developer.
