Key Responsibilities

1. Taxation & BAS Preparation
\u25cf Prepare and review Business Activity Statements (BAS), IAS, PAYG, and GST reports.
\u25cf Handle individual, partnership, trust, and company tax returns in line with ATO standards.
\u25cf Perform tax reconciliations, adjustments, and lodgements using accounting software.
\u25cf Keep up to date with Australian tax regulations and implement relevant changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Bookkeeping & Accounting
\u25cf Maintain accurate general ledger entries, accounts payable\/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
\u25cf Process payroll, superannuation, and STP lodgements.
\u25cf Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for client review.
\u25cf Ensure bookkeeping aligns with tax and compliance requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Compliance & Advisory
\u25cf Ensure ATO compliance, client data accuracy, and record integrity.
\u25cf Identify tax planning opportunities and advisory insights for clients.
\u25cf Assist in internal audits and quality checks before submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Tools & Systems
\u25cf Proficient with Xero, QuickBooks Online, and MYOB.
\u25cf Experience with BAS agent portals and tax lodgement platforms.
\u25cf Maintain accurate documentation using NexZen\u2019s internal systems and templates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Must-Have Skills
<\/strong>
\u25cf 3\u20135 years of hands-on experience with Australian accounting and taxation.
\u25cf Solid understanding of GST, BAS, PAYG, Superannuation, and Income Tax.
\u25cf Experience preparing financial statements and working papers.
\u25cf Advanced user of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
\u25cf Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
