Cost Estimation & Analysis
\uf0b7 Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical SITC projects including materials,
labor, equipment, and overhead costs
\uf0b7 Analyze project drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to
determine accurate material quantities and work scope
\uf0b7 Develop comprehensive BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for electrical components,
cables, switchgear, lighting, and allied items
\uf0b7 Calculate installation costs including labour rates, equipment rental, and project
duration estimates
\uf0b7 Prepare competitive tender submissions ensuring technical compliance and
commercial viability
\uf0b7 Review and validate estimates for accuracy and completeness before submission
Market Research & Vendor Coordination
\uf0b7 Maintain updated database of material costs, labor rates, and equipment pricing in
Bangalore market
\uf0b7 Coordinate with local vendors and OE suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
for electrical equipment
\uf0b7 Negotiate pricing with suppliers to secure best rates while maintaining quality
standards
\uf0b7 Evaluate supplier capabilities and delivery timelines for project requirements
\uf0b7 Build and maintain relationships with electrical equipment distributors,
manufacturers, and contractors<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Technical Documentation
\uf0b7 Prepare detailed technical proposals including methodology, project schedules,
and resource allocation
\uf0b7 Create presentation materials for client meetings and tender submissions
\uf0b7 Develop standard estimation templates and costing databases for various project
types
\uf0b7 Maintain comprehensive records of historical project costs and pricing trends
\uf0b7 Coordinate with design team to optimize solutions for cost-effectiveness
Project Support & Coordination
\uf0b7 Support business development team with technical inputs during client
presentations
\uf0b7 Collaborate with project managers during project execution to track actual vs.
estimated costs
\uf0b7 Assist in value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without
compromising quality
\uf0b7 Provide technical clarifications to clients and consultants during tender evaluation
process
\uf0b7 Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits for accurate project assessment
Essential Requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Experience & Background
\uf0b7 Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical estimation and costing, specifically
in Bangalore market
\uf0b7 Proven experience in preparing estimates for commercial electrical SITC projects
\uf0b7 Strong knowledge of local electrical equipment suppliers, distributors, and OE
representatives in Bangalore
\uf0b7 Experience with various project types including offices, retail, hospitals,
educational institutions, and industrial facilities
Technical Expertise
\uf0b7 Bachelor’s degree\/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical
qualification
\uf0b7 Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution,
lighting, fire alarm, and building automation
\uf0b7 Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, single line diagrams, and technical
specifications
\uf0b7 Understanding of electrical installation practices, standards (IS, IEC), and safety
regulations
\uf0b7 Knowledge of project management principles and construction methodologies
Software & Technical Skills
\uf0b7 Advanced proficiency in MS Excel including complex formulas, macros, pivot
tables, and data analysis
\uf0b7 Experience with estimation software and CAD applications (AutoCAD preferred)
\uf0b7 Familiarity with project management tools and ERP systems
\uf0b7 Ability to create professional presentations using MS PowerPoint<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Communication & Language Skills
\uf0b7 Excellent communication skills in English with ability to present technical
information clearly
\uf0b7 Working knowledge of Kannada to effectively communicate with local vendors,
contractors, and suppliers
\uf0b7 Strong negotiation skills for vendor interactions and cost optimization
