Job Description
We are looking for a Ruby on Rails developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between
the server and the users & manage API\u2019s. Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic,
definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness
to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built
by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is
necessary as well.
Responsibilities
\uf0b7 Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
\uf0b7 Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring and
code standards)
\uf0b7 Integration of data storage solutions may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.
\uf0b7 Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
\uf0b7 Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Skills
\uf0b7 Experience with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries such as RSpec and Resque
\uf0b7 Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances
\uf0b7 Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
\uf0b7 Good understanding of server-side templating languages
\uf0b7 Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
\uf0b7 Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful
\uf0b7 A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code
\uf0b7 Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
\uf0b7 Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
\uf0b7 Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
\uf0b7 Able to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
\uf0b7 Proficient understanding of code versioning .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
