\nSkills Required:
\nUnder the direction of the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, the Financial Accountants,
\nFinancial Reporting are primarily responsible for all aspects dealing with financial statements for
\nInvestment Funds. The position will also assist the Senior Manager with other duties as assigned.
\nPOSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
\n\uf0b7 Rollover financial statements, templates, notes and other documents for semi-annual and annual
\nperiods for Funds.
\n\uf0b7 Prepare full set of financial statements for each Fund including notes.
\n\uf0b7 Maintain spreadsheets with each Fund\u2019s information relating to financial reporting.
\n\uf0b7 Accurately process edits after draft financial statements have been sent.
\n\uf0b7 Assist with upcoming regulations and IFRS as required.
\n\uf0b7 Assist with departmental inquiries relating to financial reporting.
\n\uf0b7 Work on various projects assigned by the Senior Manager.
\n\uf0b7 Assist Senior Manager with client inquiries as needed.
\n\uf0b7 Maintain client responses relating to various correspondence sent out during semi-annual and
\nannual periods and work to continually improve the processes associated with your assigned
\nfunctions.
\nPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS
\nWork Experience
\n\uf0b7 Strong understanding of intermediate accounting.
\n\uf0b7 Experience within the investment fund industry (preferred, but not required).
\n\uf0b7 Very strong practical use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
\nEducation
\n\uf0b7 Designated CA or equivalent.
\n\uf0b7 Minimum Bachelors Degree required.
\nSoft Skills
\n\uf0b7 Strong attention to detail.
\n\uf0b7 Ability to work within the time frame relating to financial reporting.
\n\uf0b7 Ability to work with minimal supervision to prioritize and manage work.
\n\uf0b7 Ability to work as an effective member of a team.
\n\uf0b7 Superior communication and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n
