Requirements and Responsibilities
\u2022\u00a0Oracle\u00a0database architecture design including clustering, physical and logical replication, monitoring
and management infrastructures
\u2022 Strong awareness of underlying hardware technologies including network, server and storage
specifications and configurations
\u2022 Expert knowledge of\u00a0Oracle\u00a0Exadata architecture including Database Machines, Storage Cells,
networking and database functionality specific to Exadata
\u2022 Proven track record of successful Exadata deployments
\u2022 Experience of managing and maintaining Exadata environments
\u2022 Knowledge and experience of\u00a0Oracle\u00a0Cloud Infrastructure and Exadata Cloud Service
\u2022 Knowledge of deploying OCI VMDB environments
\u2022 Knowledge of other Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP
\u2022 Benchmarking Exadata to prove value when compared to alternative hardware platforms
\u2022 Review of suitability of applications for migration to Exadata and methods of achieving migration
with minimal downtime
\u2022 Administrator level skills in Redhat and\u00a0Oracle\u00a0Enterprise Linux including network configuration,
network bonding and storage multipathing
\u2022 Good Unix skills in Solaris, HP\/UX and AIX
\u2022 Ability to troubleshoot and identify issues peripheral to the database such as network, server and
storage root causes.
\u2022\u00a0Oracle\u00a0Database and Grid Infrastructure installation and upgrade versions 11g – 19c.
\u2022\u00a0Oracle\u00a0database configuration reviews, audits and troubleshooting on versions 11g – 19c for all
platforms supported by\u00a0Oracle.
\u2022 Deployment of OEM Cloud Control for environment monitoring and management
\u2022 High availability and disaster recovery architecture including RAC and Active Data Guard, SE Standby
\u2022 Knowledge of database replication technologies such as Streams and\u00a0Oracle\u00a0GoldenGate
\u2022 Experience of deploying and managing\u00a0Oracle\u00a0GoldenGate including OGG Microservices
\u2022 Expert knowledge on Backup and Recovery solutions with RMAN, as well as logical backups and
backup scripting.
\u2022 Advanced performance tuning skills with expertise on\u00a0Oracle\u00a0performance analysis tools such as ASH
and AWR along with SQL Plan Baselines, SQL Profiles
\u2022 Good understanding of latest DB new features and ability in applying them to provide a measurable
value on clients’ systems.
\u2022\u00a0Oracle\u00a0database logical database design including physical and logical data modeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Knowledge and Skills
– Strong knowledge of all primary Oracle platforms including Unix, Linux and Windows
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to work independently and to seek direction as required
– Strong presentation skills with the ability to present at management level<\/p>\n\n\n\n
