Job Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\u25cf Passion for websites and website delivery architecture<\/p>\n
\u25cf Deep, working knowledge of LAMP stack–OS, web server, and database systems (Linux,<\/p>\n
Apache, and MySQL preferred)<\/p>\n
\u25cf Strong Object Oriented Programming experience with a scripting language such as Ruby,<\/p>\n
Python, PHP, etc.<\/p>\n
\u25cf Holistic understanding of the Internet and hosting from the network layer up through the<\/p>\n
application layer.<\/p>\n
\u25cf Work with a distributed development team to implement highly-available and scalable<\/p>\n
architectures for core and third-party components of Acquia\u2019s PaaS\/SaaS products;<\/p>\n
\u25cf Solve availability\/performance problems and build software-based solutions to prevent<\/p>\n
recurrences;<\/p>\n
\u25cf Implement metrics and monitoring;<\/p>\n
\u25cf Champion the need of performant systems and benefits of system health visibility;<\/p>\n
\u25cf Help Product and Engineering understand the importance of SLOs and SLAs: how to implement,<\/p>\n
measure, and respond to them;<\/p>\n
\u25cf Perform architecture and code reviews to ensure systems will meet the performance and<\/p>\n
scalability requirements<\/p>\n
\u25cf Execute targeted and large scale tests to validate system performance<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\u25cf Experience working with one or more of: Ruby, PHP, Java, Javascript, Go, Python<\/p>\n
\u25cf Experience with Unix\/Linux systems administration using the CLI.<\/p>\n
\u25cf Fundamental understanding of TCP\/UDP networking concepts<\/p>\n
\u25cf Solid oral and written communications skills.<\/p>\n
\u25cf Experience building systems on cloud technology (AWS, GCE, Rackspace, Openstack)<\/p>\n
\u25cf Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous<\/p>\n
Integration, and Continuous Delivery.<\/p>\n
\u25cf Experience with gathering\/analysing App\/Host performance metrics<\/p>\n
