Job Purpose
\nSupporting and assisting the Test Lead in their duties, mainly:
\nManaging, leading, motivating, coaching and training FQA test teams.
\nPlanning, creating and executing project test strategies with the Project Manager.
\nPlanning, creating and executing project test plan & cases.
\nProactively solving project issues with the test teams and Project Manager.
\nStepping in as an Associate Lead, to cover for the primary Lead, whenever necessary.
\nScope of Role
\nThe Senior Tester works directly with the Test Lead on a daily basis in a supportive role in order to both learn the necessary
\nabilities to become a Test Lead and develop the skillset required to act as a backup (associate) Lead when needed.
\nYou will achieve this through often performing the daily administrative tasks and duties of a Lead while being coached and
\nsupervised by the Lead themselves. You will be responsible for carrying out the test plan set forth by the Lead by ensuring the
\ndaily tasks and objectives are being met and carried out efficiently. You will often be expected to shadow the communication
\nbetween the Test Lead and the Client and be given increased visibility into the communication channels the Lead has with
\ndifferent internal departments. Along with the creation of tracking documents, regression forms and test reports, you will be
\nexpected to start participating in meetings and becoming involved in client facing conference calls.
\nYou will be required to set an example to other employees. As the senior member of the test team, it is important you lead by
\ninitiative and behave in accordance to the core of Babel\u2019s values.
\nAs a Senior Tester, you are responsible for your assigned test team. You have an important role in ensuring that the team is
\neffective, motivated and that each tester is provided an environment in which they can be as productive as possible. A tester\u2019s
\nwork is likely to be of higher quality if they are happy and content within the work place.
\nSenior Testers are often responsible for the regular evaluation of testers and are required to give in person, qualitative
\nfeedback on their performance. They are also responsible for the monitoring and discipline of their test team which includes,
\nbut is not limited to, the distribution of verbal warnings, written warnings and other disciplinary actions alongside HR if
\nnecessary and if judged appropriate by the Test Lead and Project Manager.
\nKey Responsibilities and Activities
\nWhile the Senior Tester may not always be required perform each task listed below, their main task is to support the Leads in
\ntheir management of the teams and projects and those Lead duties are listed fully below for visibility.
\nACTIVE SUPERVISION
\n\uf0b7 Manage, lead and motivate test teams.
\n\uf0b7 Plan, create and execute project test strategies with the Lead.
\n\uf0b7 Plan, create and execute project test plan & cases.
\n\uf0b7 Delegate test cases to test team directly, clearly and efficiently.
\n\uf0b7 Proactively solve project issues with the test teams and Lead before they impact the project.
\n\uf0b7 Make sure the Lead and test teams are aware of project status.
\n\uf0b7 Monitor test strategy in accordance with project schedule and budget requirements.
\n\uf0b7 Administer and enforce the quality and consistency of bugs as required by Babel process.
\n\uf0b7 Constant monitoring and management of bug databases to insure quality and productivity are up to par.<\/p>\n

\n\uf0b7 Set, monitor and achieve goals through the test team.
\n\uf0b7 Interact with testers face-to-face daily.<\/p>\n
EDUCATION
\n\uf0b7 3 to 5+ years of experience in mobile, console, PC game testing
\n\uf0b7 Qualified B.Tech\/ B.E. \/ Any Graduation (only if a gamer)
\n\uf0b7 Bachelor degree in technology, animation, game design or equivalent relevant experience
\n\uf0b7 Testing Course
\n\uf0b7 ISTQB qualified must<\/p>\n
