Functional Interaction: Project Managers \/ Project Art Lead \/ Artists<\/p>\n
Responsible for creating outstanding environment assets and props for some of the best<\/p>\n
known game titles.<\/p>\n
Design, Model, UV Map and Texture environment assets and props for games that span<\/p>\n
different genres and platforms.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Study the asset specifications and client brief thoroughly before initiating estimation<\/p>\n
or commencing work on assets. Understand the information provided and highlight<\/p>\n
to the Lead any missing or contradictory information.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Provide a list of queries to the Lead to seek clarification on the asset allocated.<\/p>\n
Ensure that maximum clarity is achieved regarding the specifications, art direction<\/p>\n
and approach for an asset before commencing work on it.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Work closely with the Lead to arrive at appropriate effort estimates.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Before commencing work on the asset, ensure that there is clear identification of the<\/p>\n
approach to be taken to create the asset as well as daily work completion targets<\/p>\n
and the same have been discussed with the Lead\/sub-Lead before finalization.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Collect adequate and appropriate references before commencing work.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Model and texture assets efficiently, ensuring that the asset conforms to<\/p>\n
specifications and directions received from the Client and the Lead.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 If required, carry out any post-production processes that may be required. This could<\/p>\n
include activities such as making assets game-engine ready and check them in the<\/p>\n
engine.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Provide daily update of task status to Lead\/sub-Lead.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Proactively solve artistic and technical problems encountered while working on an<\/p>\n
asset. Discuss such solutions with Lead\/sub-Lead before implementing them. Red-<\/p>\n
flag unsolved problems in a timely manner.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Maintain and improve own productivity by completing work within the time allocated.<\/p>\n
This includes art assets taken to completion or to a predetermined point where it is<\/p>\n
to be handed over to a polishing artist.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Adopt organization mandated Best Practices and Work Processes while working on an<\/p>\n
asset.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Deliver high quality work with zero QC errors and resulting in minimal iteration.<\/p>\n
Diligently check asset against checklist to ensure that the asset complies with all<\/p>\n
specifications.<\/p>\n
Skills Required:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 A strong understanding of next-gen art production pipeline.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Experienced with Maya, 3DS MAX, Zbrush and Photoshop.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Knowledge of additional software \u2013 such as Substance Painter and Mudbox \u2013 as well<\/p>\n
as knowledge of how to create assets for \/ export assets to game engines such as<\/p>\n
Unreal Engine will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Have worked on organic and\/or inorganic surfaces.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Excellent skills in high and low poly modeling.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Skilled at creating textures and materials.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Good understanding of 3D art production pipeline, shaders, popular plugins and at<\/p>\n
least one popular game engine.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Detail oriented. Able to deliver error-free work.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Able to manage time effectively to insure timely delivery of work.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Team player.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Good communication skills.<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Experience Required:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 2 or more years of experience of working as an Environment Artist.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 BFA \/ MFA would be added advantage.<\/p>\n
