Roles & Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Work closely with the Lead to scope the project effectively to correctly and<\/p>\n
completely establish the client\u2019s requirements and specifications. Provide a list of<\/p>\n
queries to the Lead to seek clarification on the project assets, if required.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ensure that there is no ambiguity or confusion regarding any aspect (specifications,<\/p>\n
timelines etc.) of the task in hand. Should not make any unwarranted assumptions.<\/p>\n
Should red flag to the Lead\/sub-Lead any confusion or ambiguity.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Before commencing work on the asset, ensure that there is clear identification of the<\/p>\n
approach to be taken to create the asset as well as daily work completion targets<\/p>\n
and the same have been discussed with the Lead\/sub-Lead before finalization.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Collect adequate and appropriate references before commencing work.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Model and texture assets efficiently, ensuring that the assets conform to the set<\/p>\n
process and specifications.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Demonstrate an ability to work on the most complex assets in the project.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 When required, take on the role of a \u201cpolishing artist\u201d and help to take the work of<\/p>\n
junior artists to completion.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 If required, carry out any post-production processes that may be required. This could<\/p>\n
include activities such as making assets game-engine ready and check them in the<\/p>\n
engine.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Effectively analyze all information to arrive at efficient work break-down and<\/p>\n
competitive effort estimates.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Maintain and improve productivity of the project by –<\/p>\n
\u25e6 Managing own productivity by completing work within the time allocated. This<\/p>\n
includes creating art assets from scratch or taking assets partially created<\/p>\n
assets by juniors and taking them to completion \/ polishing them.<\/p>\n
\u25e6 Helping artists on their project to complete their work on time using the most<\/p>\n
effective method, tools and processes<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Deliver high quality work which requires minimal iteration for finalization and has<\/p>\n
zero QC errors.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Help the Lead by guiding \/ supervising the work of artists. Does the first level review<\/p>\n
of assets, if required.<\/p>\n
Skills Required:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 A strong understanding of human and animal anatomy.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Experienced with Maya, 3DS MAX, Zbrush and Photoshop.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Knowledge of additional software \u2013 such as Substance Painter and Mudbox \u2013 as well<\/p>\n
as knowledge of how to create assets for \/ export assets to game engines such as<\/p>\n
Unreal Engine will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Good knowledge of 3D game asset creation process. Hands-on knowledge of how to<\/p>\n
effectively model and texture 3D assets under production conditions (within<\/p>\n
deadlines, conforming to client\u2019s requirements etc.)<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Have worked on organic and\/or inorganic surfaces.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Excellent skills in high and low poly modeling.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Skilled at creating textures and materials.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Good understanding of 3D art production pipeline, shaders, popular plugins and at<\/p>\n
least one popular game engine.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ability to effectively estimate, plan and supervise game art asset creation work.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Detail oriented. Able to deliver error-free work.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Able to manage time effectively to insure timely delivery of work.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Team player.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Good communication skills.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Knowledge of Organic and Inorganic Modeling.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 At least two years of experience in a 3D game or game art services company in<\/p>\n
an Artist or Senior Artist role.<\/p>\n
