Job role: Manager/Senior Manager – HR Systems (Workday)
Years of Exp: 10 yrs +

Position Summary:
Responsible for designing and developing of HCM solutions that are strategic for the business and
built on the latest technologies and platforms. Possesses a broad understanding of cross functional
touchpoints and their impacts within the Workday system to effectively develop solutions to complex
problems/projects across multiple modules. Independently consults with external partners in all
stages of the Workday project lifecycle, from planning and design phases through testing and
deployment for Workday HCM
Essential Job Function:

• Partner closely with key business stakeholders for eg: Talent acquisition, Learning &
Development ,Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, and Data Management teams to build and
drive a roadmap addressing their technology needs, aligning with them on project priorities,
timelines, issue resolution, testing and deployment plans
• Lead Workday development projects from start to finish; act as the driving force behind
system continuous improvement efforts.
• Manage and track projects to achieve target scope, schedule, and cost.
• Consults on impact of decisions to operating post-implementation and downstream
• Provides a proactive interface between the external partners and the internal HR Team to
ensure effective coordination and delivery of Workday projects
• Manage Workday releases and scheduled upgrades of other platforms
• Conduct process reviews and data audits, manage risk and issues, change control processes,
and communicate status across the HR team and related stakeholders.
• Execute daily maintenance activities including but not limited to role and security
assignments, organization creation and changes, business process changes, security
assignments, etc.
• Prepare for Workday updates, rolling out new features and functionality to optimize
performance and usability.
• Develop, support, and optimize operations, processes, data flows, security, reporting and
• Leverage the HRIS platform to support all departments and initiatives

• Respond to employee requests and/or provide the tools and training necessary for HR
Business partners to respond to employees.
• Ability to report and organize data in a manner that will help both HR and the business
make strategic decisions.
• Serve as trusted partner to other business units including finance and accounting teams.
Required Qualifications:

• Overall 10+years of experience with at least 4+ years of solid project management and
Workday implementation experience
• Has built complex Workday reports and custom form layouts
• Ability to understand and explain key HRIS issues and address stakeholder requirements
• Ability to leverage data to make recommendations and plan next steps
• Has strong analytical, reporting, problem-solving, and communication skills
• A global perspective and experience working with diverse cultures
Educational Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or related discipline.
• Experience with software configurations, XML or other related coding in HR product suites
(Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle
• Work experience in at least two of the below modules
Core HCM/Comp, Payroll, Recruiting, Core/Advanced Comp, Talent, Time tracking, expense
management, Learning management

Skills and Abilities:
• Language Skills: Strong communication skills both written and verbal to work with multiple
internal and external clients in a fast-paced environment
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and
statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and
proportions to practical situations.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range
of intellectual and practical problems.
• Computer Skills: Ability to create and maintain documents using Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Other Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to apply knowledge on key Human Capital processes into practical solutions and
effectively communicate key information about tasks, objectives, skills, and abilities required
for different positions or career paths
• Must be able to manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback,
while being extremely adaptable and flexible

• Demonstrated ability to command the attention and respect of leaders
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
• Must have the ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures

Supervisory Responsibilities (if applicable):
Oversees any assigned staff. Responsibilities include recruiting, selecting, orienting and
training employees; assigning workload; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; and
coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
