DESIGNATION:- LEGAL CO-ORDINATOR / LEGAL SECRETARY / LEGAL EXECUTIVE
Reports to:- Directly to the client
Joining:- Immediate / At the earliest

SALARY PACKAGE – As per Industry Standards.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE – 5-10 yrs of experience.
QUALIFICATION – LLB Qualified ( 3 yrs- 5 yrs with previous experience )
LOCATION – KALYAN / THANE / MUMBAI. May have to travel to THANE/ POWAI/ ULHASNAGAR/ KALYAN/ LONAVALA/ PUNE/ MUMBAI.

The candidate should be based out of KALYAN/THANE/Mumbai.

Has to travel if required. Accommodation & Food shall be
provided if its outside Mumbai.

The candidate should preferably own a laptop and smartphone.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES :
1) Experienced in criminal cases, awareness of the criminal system, roles, and well known with authorities/police officials..
2) Handling police matters and visiting police station as per the requirement of the case.
3) Role is both litigation and non-litigation related.
4) Self-made network of advocates and mentors who can guide him or her at the time when required.
5) Detailed and vast knowledge of procedurals laws (criminal/civil), Land laws/ land records departments/ land department authority (specially THANE District – ULHASNAGAR City ), real estate/ property laws, Company laws/compliances, Contract law/ MA, Negotiable Instrumental Act, Co-operative Housing Society laws, Hindu law and succession act, FDA law, Money laundering act-Economic offense wing- fraud investigations.
6) Taking complete handover of all past or existing or future claims/litigations from the Advocate handling the case and by filing for certified copies in the court for all the paperwork, to which the litigation pertains to, and controlling and managing the litigation. This involves taking overall documentation/information/case files/lawyer
contact details, liaising / coordinating with various advocates for this purpose, and digitally organizing all such documentation/information/case files on a drive.
7) Preparing a comprehensive and detailed litigation + claims tracker which would provide the necessary details (brief description/ categorization of the dispute, status of the matter, the pendency of the dispute, next date of listing, etc) in relation to existing disputes in various adjudicatory forums.
8) Make simplified easy to understand synopsis and presentation of the case and brief the client as well as keep them updated as well as give inputs to the concerned advocate handling the case.
9) Drafting and reviewing and vetting of various agreements, civil and criminal legal documents pre-litigation matters (like issue of legal notices, drafting of complaints, filing of FIRs, etc.) is a must. Assist in the drafting of a different genre, i.e. civil suit, notice , agreement (related to different things) and also of criminal matters.

10) Preparing Minutes of Meetings , Effectively attending Courts / Tribunals / Police Stations / CBI / Vigilance / Statutory Regulatory Authorities to represent the Organisation/ client / clients
11) Appear before various authorities,bodies, boards councils, quasi – judicial authorities, local municipal authorities and other relevant agencies.
12) Checks documents or papers for compliance and correctness.
13) Conducts legal research and preliminary investigation (trial type) on cases.
14) Drafting and appearance experience in several courts of Mumbai and Goa for criminal cases.
15) Preparing Search Report for properties, advising client on the clear title of the land.
16) Attend court matters on regular basis, monitor litigation, etc. Prepare litigation briefing material for the counsel, brief the counsel, and effectively liaise with law firms and advocates.Carry out legal analysis pending/ongoing/potential cases.
16) The candidate should possess hands on experience of liaison with government authorities, knowledge and experience of Government working, he/she should be able to establish and maintain government relations, Public Affairs, Public Relations.
17) Examining legal information to find out the advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuit. Conducting pretrial preparations and defending the client in law cases.
18) Keep track of the progress of each matter and as and when matters to the Court come up for hearing ensure advance preparation for the same.
To brief counsels for matters of the company in Small Causes Court/City civil court /High court/Tribunals, etc.
19) To ensure that all legal documentation/case matters are properly maintained, filed and indexed
20) Open to researching a diverse range of legal issues. Capacity to undertake serious research in a time bound manner
21) Handling any other legal work as may be required.
22) Developing & setting up SOP and required checklist for legal function.
23) Negotiate, review and draft documentation for business transactions and prepare and advise on various aspects of laws to various functional departments. • Liaison with all legal and government authorities in order to help the company resolve matters. • Carrying out legal due diligence at the time of on-boarding of a business partner.

SPECIFIC SKILLS
1) Candidate must have good command over English, Marathi and Hindi
2) Highly detail oriented, with good analytical skills and strong organizational skills, financial acumen, and business judgement
3) Excellent drafting skills, particularly depicting complex ideas clearly and concisely
4) Professionalism in both verbal and written work
5) Keen understanding and ability to comply with confidential obligations
6) Ensure timely attendance and response
7) On Quarterly basis present an updated legal cases review to the management.
8) Ability to work flexi hours and be quick on your feet.
9) Ability to work independent with minimum to no supervision
10) Good communication skills and legal drafting skills
11) Need to be organized and time conscious.
12) Should be confident/ a solution provider, with a pro-active approach.
13) Need to be proficient with operating system & MS office.
